Other aliens arrive from a space ship to pick up the teenagers, but on finding they have not changed, permit them to remain on Earth. Steve's powers, however, enable him to resist the physical changes in himself and to restore the others to their human form. The missing six make contact with Steve, but when he meets them, they and his girlfriend reveal that they, like Steve, are aliens from another world. He has been discovering that he has unusual powers, including the ability to heal his dying brother after a car accident. Grade 5-9 Seven 16 year olds, all born on the same day, are best friends, so, when one after another they disappear, Steve, the remaining one, is determined to find them.
